Gestational surrogacy is when a surrogate carries a baby created through IVF using the intended parents’ or donors’ egg and sperm. The surrogate has no genetic connection to the baby.
A gestational carrier has no biological connection to the baby, while a traditional surrogate uses her own egg, making her genetically related to the child. At A to Z Family, we work exclusively with gestational surrogates.
Surrogates receive financial compensation, emotional fulfillment, and the opportunity to help intended parents achieve their dream of having a child. Additionally, surrogates develop lasting relationships with the families.
Surrogate compensation varies based on experience, location, and other factors, but it generally ranges between $45,000 to $60,000, with additional allowances for expenses and bonuses.
While we prefer surrogates who are open to the possibility, carrying twins is not a requirement, and this can be discussed during the matching process.
